Wildflower Tours

Its wildflower season in the Alpine forests of Colorado. Come and experience the breath taking scenery as the hillsides cover themselves in all the stunning colors of our Colorado wildflowers on special 3 hour tour. Start your trip on the train while climbing another 600' ft into the San Isabel National Forest. Then join one of our experienced guides on a 30 min hike through the tundra to discover and get up close to the hearty wildflowers that call Colorado home. EMPOWERMENT EXPRESS

Join the Advocates of Lake County (ALC) aboard the Leadville Railroad for Empowerment Express, an annual fundraiser supporting survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and other crimes, as well as neighbors facing housing instability in Lake County. This fall, enjoy a scenic train ride, dinner courtesy of The Silver Llama, breathtaking views, and a silent auction – all in support of a great cause. Ticket tiers range from general entry to enhanced options, including limited seats on the caboose.
