These trips are all evening rides departing tour historic depot at 326 E. 7th Street at  5:45 p.m. BBQ Special Costs: $88.00 per adult ($65 per child) Please book online to make reservations limited seating is available. The variety of meats and sides changes for each ride; items may include brisket, pulled pork, hot dogs. Sides have included coleslaw, macaroni and cheese, baked beans, and light appetizers. Please note this is a BBQ train trip. We usually have brisket, pulled pork, hot dogs, and a variety of sides. If you have an allergen or strict dietary requirement, please note that in the comments upon purchase. We will try to accommodate those needs but do request that you bring your own food in case our efforts at accommodating those needs are not acceptable.

Wild Flower Special

The Wild Flower Special train rides will be: July 22nd at 10:00 am July 29th at 10:00 am and August 5th at 10:00 am. horizontal-stitching-500px-wide   See the alpine  wildflowers at their peak, splashing the mountain world with vibrant color! Learn about the hearty flora that survives and thrives at 10,000+ ft' Join our experienced tour guides for a 20 minute hike through pine forests, aspen groves and open meadows. View multiple varieties of wildflowers at the water tower. Some flowers sighted include Indian Paintbrush, Lupine and wild strawberries. You may find anything from our "local" deer to a mushroom in a wet marsh. Remember hiking shoes, sunscreen, a water bottle and camera. The train ride will depart at 10:00 am and arrive back at the depot at 1:00 pm. This hike is for people of all capabilities and interests please call for more information (1-866-386-3936).   Add an additional historic experience after the railroad wildflower tour, enjoy a catered box lunch  on the lawn at the Healy House Museum where you will have time to enjoy a stroll through the heritage gardens. The gazebo frames the view of Colorado’s highest mountains, Mount Elbert and Mount Massive. The lawn is a good place to view Harrison Avenue and you can see why August Meyer chose the “capital hill” area for his home.
